You can still enter the Hawaii islands without a negative coronavirus test, but you will have to undergo a mandatory quarantine upon your arrival before you can do anything else. To avoid this waiting period, you must submit a negative result from a COVID-19 PCR NAAT, administered by an approved laboratory partner working with the State of Hawaii Travel Partners.
It will be a minimum of 48 hours from the time the lab receives your sample. Only after a negative result is confirmed will you receive your travel permission to enter Hawaii without a mandatory quarantine. Please make allowances of at least 48 hours for results to come back when planning your trip.
